Course Overview

This Comprehensive Course Equips Learners With Essential Skills And Knowledge For Effective First Aid In The Public & In The Workplace. It Covers A Broad Range Of Critical Topics, Ensuring That Participants Are Well-Prepared To Handle Various Emergency Situations.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  1. Understanding the Role of a First Aider:
  2. Grasping the responsibilities, including infection prevention, incident recording, and stress management post-incident.
  3. Assessing Emergency Situations:
  4. Conducting scene and casualty surveys to evaluate risks and prioritise actions.
  5. Responding to Unresponsive Casualties:
  6. Administering CPR and using AEDs.
  7. Placing casualties in the recovery position and monitoring their condition.
  8. Managing Choking Incidents:
  9. Identifying choking signs and administering appropriate first aid, including back blows and abdominal thrusts.
  10. Handling External Bleeding and Shock:
  11. Assessing the severity of bleeding and implementing first aid techniques for both life-threatening and minor bleeding.
  12. Recognising and treating shock, particularly hypovolaemic shock.
  13. Dealing with Minor Injuries:
  14. Providing first aid for small wounds, bruises, splinters, nosebleeds, and minor burns/scalds.

Throughout The Course, Learners Will Engage In Practical Demonstrations And Exercises, Such As Simulated CPR On A Manikin, To Ensure They Can Apply Their Knowledge Effectively In Real-World Scenarios. By The End Of The Course, Participants Will Be Confident In Their Ability To Provide Critical First Aid In Various Emergency Situations, Making Them Valuable Assets In Any Workplace.

You Will Receive A Skills Training Group CPR & AED Certificate. If You Require A Certificate For The Workplace, You'll Need To Undertake The Emergency First Aid At Work Course.
